A FIDE Master and experienced chess educator with over 10 years of teaching, coaching, and tournament directing experience. Has taught chess to students of all ages in schools, clubs, and online settings across the U.S., has coached multiple national and state championship-winning teams and directed over 175 USCF- and FIDE-rated tournaments. Also a published chess writer, with articles in Chess Life and Chess Life Kids, and currently authors a monthly instructional column, King’s Kibitzes, for the Marshall Spectator. Was nominated as Chess Journalist of the Year in 2022 and holds a FIDE Instructor certification.
