Vishal has been teaching chess for over 15 years, helping students in Atlanta, North Carolina, and Florida develop both their skills and their love for the game. His coaching experience spans schools, private lessons, and competitive training, with a proven track record of guiding players at all levels to meaningful growth. Alongside teaching, Vishal has competed extensively, playing in more than 200 tournaments worldwide since 2012. His accomplishments include winning first place in the Atlanta Chess Championship (U2000) and the North Carolina Chess Open (U2000), as well as being the Georgia State High School Chess Champion for four consecutive years from grades 9 through 12. Ranked among the Top 20 players in the state and reaching a peak rating of 2131, he brings both competitive insight and a student-centered coaching style to every lesson. By balancing strategic depth with practical improvement, Vishal tailors his approach to meet the needs of each student—whether they are beginners learning the fundamentals or advanced players striving for higher ratings.
